This morning I lost track of time on Pinterest.  I was going to breakfast, and then out for a little shopping, and I realized as I was driving up the street I had turned the completely wrong way, all because I was thinking about Loki.

Dom and Spencer always tease me that I watch "Thor" all day long to see Loki, and just this once, I admit, I did get distracted, lol !

I see I haven't posted much so far here in 2014.

I closed the doors at Papercraft Star,  very sad for me.

I am still coordinating the design team at The Kraft Journal, but I don't often participate in the challenges, so things are looking a little weak here !

Still juggling the medical aspects of my husband's disease, as he is on a two week schedule for gastric procedures at the hospital.  So so hard for him, and for me to watch him, dealing with all of this.

So, that is a quick update !

Most of the country is darned cold right now.  We had temps down to zero in December, but our weather for the next week, in the paper today, looked like this

Yup, our usual winter, but with a cute umbrella, as if any one uses one.

I guess this weather in the winter is really hard for some people, as it is so rainy and so much the same.  If you know any history about Lewis and Clark - they wintered over here in Oregon and became nearly suicidal.

I admit, I love clocks.  I have dozens in my home, three on the mantel alone.

And I have a TON of clock things in my papercraft supply too.

Paper, stamps, emboss folders, little metal watches and clocks. 
And

I enjoy a clock challenge almost more than any other.

Both interior tapes are actual scotch tape.  

For Christmas stocking shopping, Dom and I stopped at a local drugstore down near the University of Oregon.  This little shop is crammed full of the most wonderful things, things you may never see anywhere else.  They had one little aisle devoted to scrapbooking, and I found three kinds of this "vintage" tape there.  Never have seen it anywhere else.  All three combined, $1.99.  A deal for sure, and something really fun.

Our challenge is to use our oldest stamp.  This is the oldest wooden stamp I have, and I still completely love it !!

I think I have used this stamp way way more times than any other stamp I ever bought afterwards !!

Not just witches, brooms and cats, but I see leaves, a moon, a purse, and all those stripes, dots and checks.  I probably would have done a Christmas card, but I am just a sucker for Halloween cards still ...

Guest at A Mixed Media Color Challenge

For the next two weeks, the Papercraft Star Design Team and I will be featured at A Mixed Media Color Challenge !!

This is actually my 4th attempt at Mixed Media, and this time I think I kinda got it.  At least a lot closer than I have been, lol.

Here are the colors for this week's challenge

I tried to stay as coral as possible.  I think I may have tipped over a bit into pink, but short of doctoring my picture, I am going to leave it as is.

I used paint, chalk, distress ink, regular ink, gesso, spray, and correction tape.  I included some old little pieces of something pretty I had around.  Had a wonderful time making this, it was really fun, but what a mess when I was done !

The flower behind is actually a sticker, and the one in front is a regular flower that has been gessoed.  The heart is a button.

I kept the end threads uncut and outside the frame, and added a couple of knots and a bead. On the bottom I have some washi tape, and correction tape.

 More correction tape, a pretty embossed piece of paper, more washi tape, and some button brads.

The stamped clock is one of Mona Pendleton's creations for My Favorite Things.  The package comes with several clocks, and she also has dies to go with them.  So so classy.
