TKJ 102 - Something new !!

This week at The Kraft Journal our challenge is

Something New !

So of course, you can imagine what I chose ...

A puppy belonging to Spencer !  His name is Patches.  This card will be sent to out of town relatives, showing off that rough tough guy. I started the card with a Large Buff Ivory Notecard, and added some design paper, including paper from the Kraft and Black Cardstock Pad I wound some Earthy Hemp Cord around the card, and added a button and bow.  The pocket is actually a Library pocket, to which I adhered more paper from the Kraft and Black Cardstock Pad, and a saying and dots from the Pretoria-Fortunes rubbing package. I made a tag from the Kraft and Black Cardstock Pad, added a picture of Patches, and another rubbing from the Pretoria-Fortunes rubbing packageThe tag was finished with Black Polka Dot Twill Ribbon and more Earthy Hemp Cord

Fun fun challenge to complete - come on along and join in with us this week at The Kraft Journal !!!

TKJ - Favorite project of 2012

Jan Del Bone

This was my favorite project for The Kraft Journal in 2012.  I loved the contrast between the kraft and the stark white of the lace, ribbon, and embossing.
Plus, my very favorite, a pocket for a tag !!
I began with Kraft Blank Note Cards , and added design paper from the Kraft & Black Cardstock Pad atop the lace. I  adhered a pocket, some metal bling, a wooden button and some jewelry cording, along with a sentiment.  Inside the secret pocket is a Small Kraft Shipping Tag, with a pull made from Adelaide Seam Binding, a Definitions Rubbing, and some coarse embossing powder.

You probably already have a favorite Kraft Journal project you submitted last year - now is your chance for an easy - peasy entry !

TKJ 100 - Anything Goes !!

The Kraft Journal has any Anything Goes week !!

Everyone loves these !!

I chose to go a taggy route, surprise !!

I made a tag and holder, beginning with a envelope from the Lunch Bag Kraft Notecards.  The exterior of the holder has design paper, some fringe, some Flag Banner stickers, and a Mini-Bingo Card, covered in bells and bows of Natural Hemp and red ribbon.  The tag itself was made from design paper, with a fussy cut snowman wearing a popped up scarf, hat, and some brad buttons.  Merry Christmas was embossed across the side, and a "hug" included from the Love Ink Rubbing. Stickles and embossing power were included along some edges, along with ink.

No excuses for not joining in this week !!
