Happy Leap Year Day !  I think a cake or some cookies are in order, what do you think ??

Our theme this week at Papercraft Star is...

FROGS !

and here is my funny little froggy guy

This took me a whole Sunday to conceptualize, and then make.  Now I am not a fast card composer, but that was ridiculous !  Of course, part of it was that I had colored and fussy cut the frog, and then lost it somewhere in the netherworld that is my craft room.

The tag was first colored with Ranger distress ink, Broken China and Peeled Paint.  Then it was sprayed with Tattered Angels mist, Marshmallow and Gold.  After that, I used an Inkadinkado lace stamp and white ink to complete the tag.  The frog (found as a coloring page on the internet) is on an oval punched cardstock that ran through the Cuttlebug without much thought, and then notched.  The sentiment is computer generated, the frog colored with Copics and Gelly Roll pens (white & gold) and the tag finished with a button, bow, and some Stickles on the edge.

Spencer is making up his own words, and they kinda make sense ...

1st it was  Yesternight

then  Yestermorning

then  YesterSunday ...

but now, 

Yesterminute ???

I used a sketch from Cards for Men this week ...

Here is my card.  Very easy to make, especially with that sketch !

I used Coredinations for the cardstock, and was so happily surprised when the distressing made it look just like frayed, washed blue jeans.

Spencer was sick on Sunday so Dom and I had to watch Scooby-Doo and play Sorry all by ourselves.  We sang the Witch Doctor song all the way to the grocery store to get a cookie, but, alas, it just wasn't the same.

City Crafter is going natural this week.

Here is a special thank you card I made for one of my doctors.

One thing different about this card, is that it is 8 inches tall, guess I owe her a really BIG thank you !  It is gorgeous in real life, as it is sprayed with Shimmer Mist, and the flower is covered in Rock Candy stickles.  Wish we could capture those effects better on camera, as they really add so much.

Now at my Weight Watchers meetings they always say you can eat anything you want, as long as you stay within your allotted points.  BUT, this picture looks like about 4 weeks of points, so maybe only one bite a day ??

Papercraft Star has a Rustic theme this week !

A door, a window, burlap, wood, stone, a barn, a farm, even just distressed !

Just for the rustic theme alone, I could have used at least half of these digitals.

The little boy with the fishing rod is actually a February "calendar".

I pictured the key with a little twine on it, just the way you might get the key to a new home.  Every so often we do get invited to a housewarming - people are always so excited to show off their beautiful new homes, aren't they !
