Play Date Cafe 18
I need some camera help badly !
This challenge was about turquoise. Watching the women skate their long program last night was my inspiration, as the rink background was turquoise and green, and the skater Joannie Rochette from Canada wore the same blue. You probably recall her mother died earlier in the week.
Not only this skater, but the Olympic experience in Vancouver has meant a lot to me. I grew up in this incredible cosmopolitan city, and although the downtown may have changed with the times, the silhouette of the mountains remains the same, as does Stanley Park, the Lions Gate Bridge, the inlets. If you have never been there, it is an amazing city.
So, blue, scarves and flakes are my tribute to the Olympics, Joannie Rochette, and Vancouver British Columbia. (I promise this was my one and only sentimental post.)
