  7. Just saw I was supposed to share our xmas eve tradition. We have ALL the family to your home every christmas eve for an evening of giggles, belly laughs, presents and holiday treats. My dad (who is 85) also reads The Night Before Christmas to all of us. Always a magical evening. Happy Holidays to you and yours!

  12. Cute tag! Love how it has a little envy to hold it and the sparkle thread is so pretty around it! I'm a follower now after discovering your blog with this hop! Lovely. And for Christmas Eve we now keep it quiet. All the children are grown and in other states. But the memories of waiting for 'the Big Day' are still alive each year. Happy Holidays to you.

  13. Beautiful tag! For us Christmas Eve was always a time of preperation for going to grandma's, now it's a quiet evening at home with just the two of us.

  16. Oh wow, your tag is fabulous, love the pocket!
We don't have a Christmas Eve tradition as such, but we always spend it with our feet up and a wee drinkie ... its great to know then that if it hasn't been done or bought its too late to worry about it!
PS I'm now your follower - thanks for the chance of winning your goodies!

  17. Aw man, I was thinking how cool this looked with the embossing on the library pocket and all and then you pulled the tag out . . . I LOVE it! Totally adorable!

  18. What a lovely idea to have a pocket for your tag. Both are gorgeous! I love the musical score embossing you've done.
On Christmas Eve, we always put together the gingerbread houses. I make enough pieces for each child to make their own little house (even though two are teens at this point!) - and always buy far more than enough sweets for decorating. Then we hang the stockings and I read "The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey".
    I'm a (new) follower!

  19. How delightful, Jan! Love the surprise of your hidden message and the eyelash trim with that peppermint stick. Very cool.

I am a follower and our tradition is to attend Christmas service at our church...in years past the boys were in the play of the Christmas story, or singing in the choir, or playing on the worship team. Once we are home, it's snacking on the goodies and watching a Griswold family Christmas (and this year I scored Griswold T shirts for both of them!) We get to open one gift each and then off to sleep in these days!

I am blessed to have you in my own backyard, my cyber bloggy buddy. And I will look for opportunities to create together this new year.

Wishing you the Merriest Christmas and New Year, Jan.

  20. New Follower, but love your tag. Christmas eve traditions. We didn't catch on till we were much older but the one present we "got" to open on Christmas eve was always pajamas (Santa left his presents unwrapped under the tree for us). I continued this tradition on with my children and they have continued it on with theirs.

  23. I just love your tag Jan, the library pocket really finishes off this project!! Christmas Eve at our house is spent with friends, food and lots of laughter. This year we are spending it with some friends who's husband is back from Kuwait for a few weeks, then he is headed back for a few more months.
I hope that you and yours have a very Merry Christmas!! I can't wait to see what the new year has in store for us all!!

  30. D'oh! I commented on the wrong post! I didn't scroll up enough after "following" your blog...so now I'll have to give you a different Christmas Eve tradition so I don't bore you miserably. My dad's mom always gave us hand-sewn pajamas to wear Christmas Eve night. It was really neat to have something brand new to wear to wait for Santa. :)
