Papercraft Star 57

This week at Papercraft Star we have the following challenge...

Use a book as your inspiration !  A title, a theme, or even a book cover.

I never make anything for myself.  But this week, I am keeping this book to remind me of where I have been, and where I am going.  I based it on the book "Around the World in 80 Days", including air balloons and stamps, integral parts of the story.  All the balloon images come from Rilly at theHouseAcrosstheBay.

In my 30's I was a mom.  In my 40's I found a whole new world in competitive golf.  In my 50's I became an adjunct at a local college.  And now, in my 60's I find myself at the helm of Papercraft Star !  All these things surprised me.

And now on to the book.

I don't have a complete list of everything I used as much of it was scraps, and little things lying about.  But here goes for what I can remember ....

All balloon images, world map, pocket "watch" - theHouseAcrosstheBay etsy shop
Design paper - My Mind's Eye, Bo Bunny, Graphic 45, gcd studios
Brads - Bo Bunny, stash
Stamps - Tim Holtz, Inkadinkado, 7 Gypsies
Stickers - Tim Holtz, stash
Rub ons - Michaels $1 bin, stash, 7 Gypsies
Clips, charms, beads, key, ribbon - Tim Holtz, K & Co, stash
Fiber and ribbons - stash
Ink - Ranger, Versafine
Frames - K & Co

If there is something in particular you are dying to know about, please ask and I will try to track it down !

  3. I had no idea you were going to have this much stuff in your "little" book! It's amazing!!! You just went to town with all those great Rilly images and your other bits and pieces and created a treasure. My daughter would probably want to steal that J.R.R. Tolkein sentiment tag. LOL Over the top!!!!!!

  6. Every detail is perfect! It inspired me to make a book too! I especially love the front cover! Are the key, keyhole and bookplate from Tim Holtz? Life certainly is a journey.
